Onevinn offers Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace and deepens collaboration with Microsoft.

Press release provided by Onevinn AB

Gothenburg, Sweden – November 2020 – Onevinn, a leader in intelligent security, has joined the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA), an ecosystem of independent software vendors and managed security service providers who have integrated their solutions to help customers better predict, detect, and respond faster to security threats.

Onevinn was nominated and selected into MISA as a managed security service provider (MSSP) for their Managed Detection and Response (MDR) offerings for Microsoft Azure Sentinel in combination with the Microsoft Defender products: Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Defender for Identity and Microsoft Cloud App Security. This membership further deepens Onevinn’s partnership with Microsoft and enhances its market position by expanding the company’s offer to reach a broader range of customers and deliver even more value.

It is the latest development at Onevinn, which earlier this year strengthened its team with the arrival of Stefan Schörling, a highly experienced industry expert and a Microsoft MVP.

Stefan Schörling, Head of MDR at Onevinn, said: “Against a backdrop of accelerating cyber threats Onevinn’s already strong offer will be further enhanced through our membership of the acclaimed MISA ecosystem. It enables us to provide even greater value and protection to a broader range of customers.”

Rani Lofstrom, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Microsoft Security  commented: “Members of the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association, like Onevinn, offer solutions that supercharge defence work against a world of increasingly sophisticated, fast-moving threats. The integration of Microsoft 365 with their solutions allows us to work together to help customers navigate the security landscape.”

Onevinn delivers MDR services powered by integrated threat solutions from Microsoft comprising Microsoft Defender, a unified extended detection and response (XDR) security solution with Microsoft Azure Sentinel, a cloud-native, Security Information Event Manager (SIEM) solution. Azure Sentinel provides a single solution for alert detection, threat visibility, proactive hunting, and automated threat response. The service is leveraging Microsoft Defender for protection, detection and response of threats across Azure and Microsoft 365.

Onevinn is now even better positioned on the Azure Marketplace to deliver greater protection to joint customers with Microsoft. Combining Microsoft’s unified approach to security, Onevinn seamlessly extends detection and cross-domain threat response capabilities from the endpoint to cloud.

BlueVoyant and Haven Cyber Technologies announce a new partnership to scale third party risk services in the UK and Europe.

New Partnership to bring BlueVoyant’s best-in-class third-party risk product to market for enhanced supply chain risk management.

Today, we are pleased to announce that Haven is partnering with BlueVoyant to bring a new innovative cyber risk product to market with our operating companies, ITC Secure and Onevinn. Haven is a leading cybersecurity platform in Europe, enabling the digital transformation of industries in a secure environment. Through this partnership, we will focus on accelerating delivery to public sector and enterprise customers in the UK and Europe to address one of the most critical cybersecurity risks at this time.

Managing third-party cyber risk is fast becoming the defining cybersecurity challenge of our time. As organisations increase the volume and variety of suppliers they work with, they expose their organisations to the vulnerabilities of those business partners.

Last week, BlueVoyant released the results of a worldwide survey of 1500+ CISOs and security leaders that revealed large vendor ecosystems and low visibility are increasing third-party cyber risk. The study revealed that 80% of organisations surveyed experienced a cybersecurity breach that originated from vulnerabilities in their vendor ecosystem in the past 12 months, and the average respondent’s organisation had been breached in this way 2.7 times. The study also found that respondents had a staggering average of 1,409 suppliers in their networks.

BlueVoyant’s third party risk product and service goes beyond identifying cyber risk to provide an end-to-end solution, including assessment, analysis, remediation and execution. BlueVoyant’s service is proactive and collaborative, working with client risk methodologies and their vendor suppliers.

One of the sectors we will focus on is the healthcare sector in Europe that continues to suffer deadly ransomware attacks as part of our work with the Cyber Alliance to Defend our Healthcare. Through the Alliance, we are providing free cybersecurity products and services to hospitals and clinics to protect frontline healthcare workers and patients, and we have the opportunity to build our contribution with investment in third-party cyber risk management.

The partnership between Haven and BlueVoyant follows a recent investment by C5 Capital in BlueVoyant. C5 joined BlueVoyant’s $68M Series B funding round led by Temasek Holdings. Our Founder and Chief Executive of C5 Capital, André Pienaar, joined the Board of Directors at BlueVoyant as an Observer to support the company’s organic growth. André is also the Executive Chairman of Haven Cyber Technologies.

BlueVoyant is a fast growing Managed Service Provider in North America and a Microsoft partner. Haven Cyber Technologies is the fastest growing Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP) in Europe and a Microsoft partner. Both companies are backed by C5 as a specialist venture capital firm focused on the secure data ecosystem.

Cybersecurity heavy hitters join alliance to protect healthcare systems

News provided by Security BriefThe Cyber Alliance to Defend our Healthcare, which was formed by C5 Capital to bring together heavy hitters in the cybersecurity space to combat cyber attacks on healthcare systems during the COVID-19 pandemic, has today announced a host of new entrants into its ranks.

Leaders in the cybersecurity industry which are now part of the Alliance include ITC Secure, IronNet Cybersecurity, Haven Cyber Technologies, Enveil, 4iQ, Blue Cedar, Hazelcast, SAP NS2, Modex, Telos, OneVinn, TruSTAR Technology, Privitar, Cynamics, SOSA’s Global Cyber Center and Klaatu IT Security.

C5 says their combined experience and resources further enhances the Alliance’s powerful industry response to an unprecedented series of cyberattacks on a healthcare sector already under huge pressure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The growing support for the Alliance underlines the strong collaborative nature of the cybersecurity sector,” says C5 Capital founder André Pienaar.

“With many of the world’s leading cybersecurity experts now contributing their services and knowledge for free we have a powerful united front to combat cyber threats to global health organizations when they are already under immense strain as a result of this terrible pandemic.”

Since launching the Alliance in March to provide free support to healthcare organisations, C5 Capital has seen a ten-fold increase in cyberattacks, such as ransomware, on the sector, adding an additional threat to already-overburdened hospitals, clinics and research facilities.

Similarly, the World Health Organization (WHO) recently warned that more than 25,000 email addresses from its organisation and others related to its operations – such as the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the US – had been compromised.

C5 says that through ‘collective defence’, members of the Alliance are working together to protect healthcare workers on the frontline of the epidemic.

Leading Cybersecurity Firms Unite to Provide Free Support to the Healthcare Sector During the COVID-19 Crisis by Joining C5 Capital’s International Cyber Defense Alliance

Press Release via C5 Capital – C5 Capital, the specialist investment firm that exclusively invests in the secure data ecosystem, including cybersecurity, AI, cloud and space, has further strengthened the expertise and reach of The Cyber Alliance to Defend our Healthcare with a stream of new members joining.

The Alliance is now supported by industry leaders including ITC Secure, IronNet Cybersecurity, Haven Cyber Technologies, Enveil, 4iQ, Blue Cedar, Hazelcast, SAP NS2, Modex, Telos, OneVinn, TruSTAR Technology, Privitar, Cynamics, SOSA’s Global Cyber Center and Klaatu IT Security. Their combined experience and resources further enhances the Alliance’s powerful industry response to an unprecedented series of cyberattacks on a healthcare sector already under huge pressure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Key figures from the cyber industry are also supporting the Alliance, including Ron and Cyndi Gula, founders of cybersecurity investment firm Gula Tech Adventures.

Since launching the Alliance in March to provide free support to healthcare organizations, C5 Capital has noted a ten-fold increase in cyberattacks, such as ransomware, on the sector, adding an additional threat to already-overburdened hospitals, clinics and research facilities.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recently warned that more than 25,000 email addresses from its organization and others related to its operations – such as the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the US – had been compromised.

Through collective defense, members of the Alliance are working together to protect healthcare workers on the frontline of the epidemic. Much of the Alliance’s work to date has focused on the onboarding of critical healthcare infrastructure to the C5 IronDome, which uses behavioral intelligence derived from cyber anomalies to detect potential threats. Other activity has ranged from providing network compromise assessments and additional monitoring of core systems, to offering surge capacity to overwhelmed Security Operations Centers and providing Blockchain solutions to safeguard against ransomware attacks.

This work is helping to ensure hospitals and clinics protect their internal systems and databases for patients, healthcare workers and volunteers. It is also enabling pharmaceutical research and development facilities to safeguard their work while developing a vaccine to fight the COVID-19 virus both safely and efficiently.

Andre Pienaar, Founder, C5 Capital said: “The growing support for the Alliance underlines the strong collaborative nature of the cybersecurity sector. With many of the world’s leading cybersecurity experts now contributing their services and knowledge for free we have a powerful united front to combat cyber threats to global health organizations when they are already under immense strain as a result of this terrible pandemic.”

General (Ret) Keith Alexander, former Commander U.S. Cyber Command and current Co-CEO and Founder of IronNet Cybersecurity, said: “As the COVID-19 outbreak accelerates worldwide, threat adversaries are taking advantage of popular fears about the disease to spread malware that provides them access to sensitive personal and corporate data. We must come together as one — through Collective Defense — to protect and defend global healthcare providers. They represent the front line of this crisis; as cybersecurity experts, we must work together behind the scenes to ensure reliability and continuity of service.”

Ron Gula, Co-Founder of cybersecurity investment firm Gula Tech Adventures, added: “This industry coalition for health care providers is a powerful way to counteract the threat from hackers and nation states who are taking advantage of the COVID-19 crisis.”

Claes Kruse, CEO, OneVinn, said: “During these unprecedented times, we need to defend the real heroes of our time, the healthcare workers. We feel that it’s important that we, as a cybersecurity industry, do our best to keep their systems up and running, avoid attacks and let the true heroes continue to save our lives.”

Dr. Ellison Anne Williams, Founder and CEO of Enveil, commented: “Fighting this pandemic will require the meaningful use of data and resources from around the globe. Privacy Enhancing Technologies can uniquely protect the privacy and security of these sensitive data assets, and we look forward to working with the broader Alliance to ensure such technologies are a foundational part of any solution.”
